CSC130 Computer Programming II: Java

Students use hands-on projects and teamwork to design, implement, and test large computer programs in Java, with emphasis on good programming style, expression, and documentation. Object-oriented programming methodology, elementary data structures, internal searching and sorting methods, basic graphical animation techniques, exceptions, multithreading, and simple recursion are covered. (This course does not satisfy the mathematics general education requirement. It does satisfy CSI transfer requirements.)

Student teams work with faculty, departments, or non-profit organizations planning, designing and implementing interactive, dynamic web sites. This course has both service-learning and interdisciplinary facets and may be taken for honors credit.

BIT266 Application Development for Mobile
Credits: 3
This course offers a practical introduction to the mobile device app development industry. Students learn about the operating systems of mobile devices, limitations and challenges of developing mobile applications and create and submit an app to the app marketplace.
Prerequisites: ENL020 and ENL050 or satisfactory basic skills assessment scores and (CSC110 or CSC120 or BIT175)
