Academic Focus Areas
What is an Academic Focus Area?
Undecided students can enroll in an Academic Focus Area during their first semester to explore academic and career options within similar fields. For example, if a student is interested in both Business Administration and Information Technology s/he may enroll in the Business Focus Area for the first semester. Academic Focus Areas provide undecided students with the opportunity to meet with an advisor, attend career seminars and transfer workshops to help select an academic program.
4Cs has eight focus areas. Please see an explanation of each focus area below, including concentrations, what to expect after graduating, and potential careers.
